Wedding Product Haul

I had a wedding this weekend and I wanted my hair to look cute BUT I wanted to do it myself. I was trying to get it to look like how my stylist had it after my last relaxer. Big feat to accomplish. Anyways I decided I needed some products to help me out. Originally I wanted to get the Mizani Thermasmooth line but I could only find one store that carried those and they only stocked the jumbo sizes. Can’t buy the jumbo size if I’m not sure I like the product so that idea was abruptly scrapped.

Soooo…after looking around and trying to decide what products I was going to try finally decided on the following and the great thing was that most of them came in travel sizes so I spent less than I expected!!! Yaaay!

Here’s what I got:

super_skinny_shampoo Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum – I’ve heard alot of good things about this product from various forums. Most ladies swear by it…they won’t use anything else to straighten their hair. It is touted as one of the best blow drying serums so I thought it was time I gave it a try.
super_skinny_shampoo Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Shampoo – I wanted to try the complete line (shampoo, condish and serum) to evaluate whether the individual products really worked together to accomplish the desired result i.e. straight hair.
super_skinny_treatment Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Treatment – Same as above…wanted to evaluate the effect of the products working together. This is the conditioner in the Super Skinny line. Let’s see how much conditioning and smoothing it really does.
flexible_sculpting_spray Paul Mitchell Flexible Hold Fast Drying Sculpting Spray – I needed a spritz but had a hard time choosing one. I think that part of the reason my hair stays so well when my stylist does it is that she uses a spritz so I’m going to give this one a try.
ic_hair_polish_mist Fantasia IC Hair Polisher Mist – I’ve been using IC Hair polishes for many many years so this could only be a positive addition to my arsenal. It’s basically the hair polish in a spray form. Smells yummy too.
mizani_shyne Mizani Shyne Bodifying Sheen Spray – This was the only non-sample-sized product I bought, but I’ve been needing a hair sheen for a long time so I figured I couldn’t go wrong with Mizani.

I will be reviewing each of these products in future posts.

  1. Hey Gurl!!

I was a HUGE fan of PM Super Skinny Serum. It’s been the only serum I used for the past 10 years. But now that I’m transistioning, it’s not strong enough to stop reversion. So now, Sabino Moisture Block is my new BFF. But I still use PM SSS for old times sake! LOL

Good Luck and let me know how you like it.
