Wash Day: Curlformers

Wash Day: Curlformers

Yesterday was wash day.  I  did an oil treatment with VO5 hot oil, shampooed with Kenra Moisturizing shampoo, did the Aphogee 2-min reconstructor treatment and DC-ed with Mizani Moisturefuse.  After, instead of a rollerset, I decided to do a curlformers set. This is my third attempt at curlformers and I think by far the best one.

Here are pics of the set itself.  You can see that the front isn’t completely finished because I ran out of curlformers.

Stay tuned for the results. I’ll post them as soon as I download the pics from my camera.

  1. I’ve never tried the narrow ones, but I want to. I purchased the cf set about a year or more ago so I never purchased any other size rollers. I would love to try the narrow ones. Off to check out the pics.

  2. Hey lady. I love your blog. I navigated here from Hairlista after seeing the gorgeous picture of your bob. Boy am I impressed and inspired! I never ever comment anywhere, on anyone’s blog, except maybe facebook with friends I know from growing up and stuff. Regardless, I just love it so much I had to let you know that. ALSO, I have been staring at these curlformers for at least 2 years in sally’s but I had no idea how they would turn out…and if they were good for African hair. But now that you’ve done it, I will definitely look into this once my hair grows out a little bit more.

    • Hey Miranda
You’re probably safest with the long, plus when your hair grows you wouldn’t need to replace them. The size – whether narrow or wide is based on personal preference. I like the narrower curls so I chose the long and narrow.
You put in the curlformers after washing your hair and while it is still wet. The wetter the better. if you need more tips check this post http://www.diaryofahairobsession.com/?p=423
