Argan Oil

Argan Oil

Argan oil is the latest cosmetic “miracle” to come on the scene.  argan_oil Also called argon oil and argane oil, it is derived from the nut of the Argan tree (Argania Spinosa). For centuries Berbers (indigenous people of Morocco) used this oil in their cooking, on their hair, skin and nails and for the prevention of stretch marks. “Extensive research has revealed that argan oil: restores the skin’s water-lipid layer and increases the amount of nutrients and oxygen in the skin cell, neutralizes free radicals, and protects connective tissue.”

The Benefits

  • Fortifies hair giving it brightness and softness
  • Restores luster to dull, lifeless hair
  • Nourishes and revitalizes the scalp
  • Antioxidant properties
  • Rejuvenates the skin’s structure and elasticity
  • Used on the skin, argan oil softens by penetrating the skin rapidly.Accelerates the healing of stretch marks
  • Strengthens brittle nails when mixed with equal parts lemon juice and applied to nails at night

I haven’t tried pure argan oil yet, but i have used the Moroccan Oil brand that contains argan oil and loved it.  One day I will splurge and purchase some of this “miracle” oil.
